About us

SpareHand is a not-for-profit initiative, established in March 2020 to help community organisations respond to the Coronavirus outbreak. 

SpareHand is powered by HireHand, the socially responsible marketplace for part-time workers in the hospitality sector. Since 2015 HireHand has brokered over 100,000 shifts for workers across the world.

HireHand is a social enterprise backed by Big Issue Invest, Mustard Seed, and Joseph Rowntree Foundation. It is governed by specific terms of business.
