School Food Matters

School Food Matters is a charity that is on a mission to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school.

They provide a fully-funded food education programme to schools, and their experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens their advocacy campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.

During the Pandemic, School Food Matters have been working hard to expand breakfast provision to all families in Lambeth and Southwark who are vulnerable to food insecurity. Over the last 3 months, School Food Matters have delivered over 40,000 breakfast boxes to children across 107 schools and 56 holiday clubs.
